How does HelpingYouAndMe work?
HelpingYouAndMe is a platform where people crowdsource for funds in order to make a payment towards their debt they are raising money for. If you’re campaign reaches you’re goal or doesn’t reach the goal, funds raised will then be sent to that company to go pay off your balance or make a payment towards it.
If I set up a campaign, can I speak with any of my funders?
You can leave updates on how you’re doing, the impact of the donations, where you’re at regarding your debt free journey etc while the campaign is active. People who leave donations can leave messages as themselves or anonymously.
How can I get donations to my campaign?
Share, share, share! You must share to as many people as you can. Share with family, friends, coworkers, your community.

GENERAL INFORMATION
How do I start fundraising with HelpingYouAndMe?
Starting a campaign on HelpingYouAndMe is easy. Simply click on “Login” on the top right of the page. Scroll down and click on “Sign up”. Go through the process. Once done, you must confirm your email address so keep checking your mailbox or your spam folder. Once you’re confirmed, login and click on the link “Start HelpingYouAndMe” located on the front page banner.
A secure URL should begin with “https” rather than “http.” The “s” in “https” stands for secure, which indicates that the site is using a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Certificate in which we use. This lets you know that all your communication and data is encrypted as it passes from your browser to the website’s server.
Am I going to be paid back when I donate through HelpingYouAndMe?
The IRS encourages you to give money to charity—if you itemize, you can usually take that amount off your gross income when you’re figuring out your taxes. And, in 2020, even if you do not itemize your deductions, qualified cash donations up to $300 can be deducted.
Does your company allow me to raise funds more than my loan target?
You cannot campaign for more than what your debt is for. For example, if your debt you’re campaigning for is $1000, you cannot campaign for more than that.
I am domicile to Europe, can I benefit from HelpingYouAndMe?
We currently only operate within the United States. The debt must be within the United States. We do not accept international campaigns at the moment.
It’s easy to donate to your favorite campaign. Simply click on the campaign of you’re choice, navigate to the dollar amount box, put in how much you want to donate, and simply click on the donate button.
Can I search for a campaign that is currently running?
Yes you can. You can search active campaigns by visiting the “search” magnifying glass symbol located on top of the page next to the “Explore” link.
What does Identity verified mean?
It means your identity has been verified through our backend process.
What should I do if I do not want my identity to be known when I am donating?
When you’re donating, there is a checkbox on the checkout page that states “Make me anonymous”. Simply check the box and your donation will be done anonymously.
What if I have questions about the campaign?
If you have any questions regarding a campaign, feel free to reach out to us via the contact form, social media or our chat option located on the lower left side of all pages.
What are the categories available to donate to?
The following categories we support are car loans, credit cards, medical bills, personal loans, student loans, and miscellaneous which includes financing of mobile devices, IRS payments etc.
What is the currency used for the donating?
We only accept US currency at the moment.
When will my credit card be charged?
You’re card will be charged at the time of donation.
If you would like to cancel a donation, please reach out to us via contact us form, social media, or our chat bubble located on the lower right side of any page and we will take care of the cancellation for you.
What happens when a campaign meets its goal?
Once a campaign has reached its goal, the campaign will stop accepting donations. Money raised will then be sent to the company within 14 business days.
What happens when a campaign receives more support than its intended goal?
A campaign cannot receive more than what the debt is for. You will only be able to raise what the amount of the debt is.
Who holds responsibility for running a campaign?
The campaigns responsibility falls on the owner of the campaign. They must promote as much as possible and extend their reach in order to set your campaign up for success.
Are there transaction fees when I make a donation?
We charge a transaction fee and a platform fee that will get deducted once the campaign reaches its goal or end date. The transaction fee and platform free are calculated into your debt amount when you’re creating your campaign. We aim to be transparent in everything we do.
Is it possible to ask for a receipt?
Once completing your donation, you will get a confirmation/receipt via email.

STUDENT LOANS
Can HelpingYouAndMe help me in paying off my loan?
HelpingYouAndMe offers the platform to raise the funds in order to pay off your student loan. In order for a chance to make your campaign successful, you have to extend your reach and share to as many people as you can.
Can I apply after one year of graduation date?
Once your student loan bill becomes available, you can create a campaign for it.
What documents do I need to upload before I can apply?
You must upload a document when creating a campaign for any of the categories we have. You must upload your most recent statement for the current month that shows the balance on the account, account number, date, and name and address. We might ask for additional information if information doesn’t match.
Does HelpingYouAndMe work outside the US?
HelpingYouAndMe does not accept campaigns from outside the United States.
Is there a limitation to the number of funds I can raise?
The only limitation for raising funds is the amount of the debt. You cannot raise funds that exceeds the debt amount.
You cannot withdraw raised funds. With HelpingYouAndMe, funds raised will be sent directly to the company to pay off or to help payoff your debt.

How long can I create a campaign for?
HelpingYouAndMe campaigns can last for several durations. Some campaigns last for a few days or a few months. It’s all up to the owner of the campaign.
Any donator can make a contribution to your campaign if they are 18 years of age with a bank account or credit card.
MEDICAL BILLS
I don’t have health insurance, can I raise funds for my medical bill?
Absolutely. If you have a hard time paying any bill regardless if you have insurance or not, create a campaign, start sharing to as many people as you can.
In case of sudden illness or medical crisis, how quickly can I get funds through HelpingYouAndMe?
HelpingYouAndMe offers the platform to raise the funds in order to pay off your loans. In order for a chance to make your campaign successful, you have to extend your reach and share to as many people as you can.
Do I need to upload my medical record before I could get a donation?
